Job Description
Part-Time Controller/Accounting/Operations (25 hours/week) Salary based on experience About Panoramic Window & Door Systems Panoramic Window & Door Systems is a leading commercial window and door contractor serving the Tri State area. We are strengthening our accounting and financial infrastructure to accommodate our growth. This position will work closely with the Director of Operations to provide a smooth transition of accounting responsibilities while improving financial reporting, internal controls, and operational processes. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Controller with commercial construction or specialty contracting experience. This is a hands-on role-not a corporate controller position. The successful candidate will initially work alongside our long-time accounting leader, and may assume increasing responsibility over time. Key Responsibilities Manage the monthly close and prepare accurate monthly financial statements. Maintain the general ledger and work with the rest of the crew to oversee job cost accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll oversight. Oversee WIP schedules, retainage, contract billing, and revenue recognition. Strengthen internal controls and accounting processes. Coordinate with the outside CPA on year- end financial statements, tax matters, and audits. Support banking relationships, bonding requirements, and financial reporting needs. Collaborate with the Director of Operations to ensure a seamless transition of responsibilities. Qualifications 7+ years of accounting/controller experience. Must have strong organizational skills. Commercial construction and state bidding knowledge strongly preferred. Strong understanding of job costing, WIP schedules, retainage, percentage-of-completion accounting, and construction financial reporting. QuickBooks experience required; Excel proficiency required. CPA preferred but not required. Hands-on, collaborative leadership style with excellent communication skills.
