Vice President - Asset-Backed Finance Location Summit, NJ or Salt Lake City, UT About the Company We are partnered with a US-based specialty finance platform that combines banking capabilities with a strong capital markets orientation to deliver credit solutions at scale. The firm collaborates with a wide range of originators and platforms, including fintechs, consumer lenders, and other non-bank financial institutions, helping them access funding through structured credit and asset-backed solutions. The platform has built a strong reputation in supporting the growth of lending businesses through flexible capital structures. With activity spanning multiple asset classes, the business focuses on providing capital across consumer and commercial credit, including installment lending, revolving products, and point-of-sale financing. The firm is particularly active in structuring bespoke financing solutions and placing risk with institutional investors through private markets. The Opportunity This role sits within the capital markets and asset finance function and offers the opportunity to take ownership of transaction execution, structuring, and distribution across private structured credit markets. The Vice President will play a central role in developing and executing financing strategies for clients and partners, while also supporting broader capital formation and syndication efforts across the platform. The position offers direct interaction with senior leadership and the ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy in a growing, transaction-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Originate, structure, and execute private asset-backed and structured credit transactions Develop tailored capital solutions for specialty finance platforms and lending businesses Lead execution processes from initial structuring through closing, including coordination with internal stakeholders and external counterparties Support distribution efforts by engaging institutional investors and expanding investor relationships Manage interactions with rating agencies and oversee rating processes where applicable Evaluate new opportunities, including underwriting and diligence of counterparties and collateral performance Prepare and negotiate key transaction documents in partnership with legal teams and external advisors Assist in syndicating risk positions and optimizing capital allocation across transactions Contribute to development of internal frameworks, underwriting standards, and execution processes Present transactions and investment opportunities to internal committees and senior stakeholders Qualifications 8-15 years of experience in structured finance, securitization, or asset-backed capital markets Background in roles involving securitization, ABS issuance, or structured credit execution Experience structuring and executing transactions such as: Private securitizations / private placements Forward flow or whole loan sale arrangements Pass-through or structured credit vehicles Familiarity with investor distribution and institutional capital markets Experience working with rating agencies and managing external diligence processes Strong understanding of legal documentation and transaction mechanics within structured finance Exposure to consumer lending, small business finance, or point-of-sale lending preferred Advanced financial modeling skills and comfort analyzing asset-level performance Ability to manage multiple live transactions in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills with both internal teams and external partners Preferred Backgrounds Candidates may come from: Banks or specialty finance lending platforms Securitization or structured finance teams Fintech lenders or embedded finance platforms Private credit, asset-backed, or opportunistic credit funds What Makes This Role Compelling High visibility role with direct impact on transaction strategy and execution Broad exposure across multiple asset classes and capital structures Opportunity to work closely with senior decision-makers Strong deal flow and an active pipeline of new opportunities Ability to shape and grow a capital markets function within a scalable platform
