Job Description
Description Our client is seeking an experienced Casino Controller to oversee Casino Accounting and Count Room operations for a leading gaming organization. The Casino Controller will be responsible for financial reporting, month-end close, gaming revenue accounting, regulatory compliance, internal controls, and leadership of the accounting team. The ideal Casino Controller will bring a strong combination of casino gaming experience and technical accounting expertise. This role requires a leader who can understand gaming operations while also providing sound financial oversight, accurate reporting, and strategic guidance to the accounting department. Responsibilities + Oversee all Casino Accounting and Count Room operations + Manage the month-end close process and ensure timely financial reporting + Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules + Oversee gaming revenue accounting and daily operating reports + Prepare gaming tax returns, licensing filings, and regulatory submissions + Ensure compliance with Gaming Control Board regulations and company internal controls + Serve as the primary contact for auditors, regulatory agencies, and tax authorities + Participate in annual budgeting and forecasting activities + Review and approve accounting transactions and disbursements + Lead, mentor, and develop accounting leadership and staff + Identify process improvements and strengthen accounting controls Requirements + 5+ years of progressive casino accounting experience + Previous accounting leadership experience within a gaming environment + Strong knowledge of gaming revenue accounting, casino audit, cage operations, and count room procedures + Experience managing month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and regulatory compliance + Demonstrated ability to lead and develop accounting teams + Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred + Ability to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Registration Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
