Description We are looking for an accomplished finance leader to guide the accounting and financial strategy of a growing construction organization in North Las Vegas, Nevada. This position will lead core finance operations, strengthen reporting accuracy, and provide executive leadership with meaningful insights for decision-making. The ideal candidate brings strong construction industry expertise, sound judgment in risk management, and the ability to build disciplined financial processes across multiple business entities.

Responsibilities:

• Direct finance and accounting leadership across the organization, providing oversight to controllers and accounting team members while promoting accuracy, accountability, and operational efficiency.
• Lead essential accounting activities such as cash oversight, fixed asset tracking, general ledger management, purchasing support, and payroll administration.
• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions to ensure timely processing, strong controls, and reliable financial operations.
• Consolidate and review financial information needed to produce accurate business results and support informed executive decision-making.
• Safeguard the reliability of the general ledger by maintaining sound accounting policies, effective internal controls, and proper protection of company assets.
• Oversee month-end reporting and deliver financial statements, performance metrics, and risk updates to executive leadership on a regular basis.
• Review work-in-progress reporting at each month-end close to confirm accuracy and alignment with project activity and financial results.
• Prepare, monitor, and communicate annual and monthly budgets, helping leadership evaluate performance against financial targets.
• Administer financial systems access and performance while supporting compliance reporting, insurance matters, claims activity, and contract review as needed. Requirements
• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Relevant credential such as CPA, CMA, or a comparable accounting certification.
• At least 5 years of experience in finance leadership, with a strong background in construction accounting and financial management.
• Demonstrated experience producing budgets, managing month-end close, and delivering accurate financial reporting.
• Knowledge of cash flow planning, operating budget management, and financial control frameworks.
• Familiarity with Vista Viewpoint or other construction-focused ERP or accounting platforms.
• Understanding of surety bonding, insurance administration, and contract terms within the construction industry.
