Controller Location:
Nanuet, NY – full-time onsite
Compensation:
$100,000 – $110,000 depending on experience About the
Opportunity:
Our client, a respected nonprofit organization, is seeking a Controller to oversee accounting, reporting, budgeting, compliance, and financial operations. This Controller position offers the opportunity to provide leadership within a mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger management, financial reporting, accounts payable, payroll, and regulatory compliance. Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, audits, cash flow management, and required federal, state, and local filings. Manage budgeting, forecasting, reimbursement analysis, and financial planning initiatives while providing strategic financial guidance to leadership. Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff while driving process improvements, strengthening internal controls, and supporting organizational growth.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5-7+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. Knowledge of
