Type:
full-time LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Controller. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, developing strong internal controls, and partnering with operational leadership to drive profitability and business performance. The ideal candidate will possess at least 5 years of accounting and finance leadership experience within a manufacturing environment and have a proven ability to support strategic business objectives through sound financial management.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and inventory accounting.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Oversee manufacturing cost accounting, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
- Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
- Partner with plant and operational leaders to monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning activities.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and overall financial health of the business.
- Support strategic decision-making through financial modeling, KPI analysis, and performance reporting.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Manage and mentor accounting staff while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Evaluate and improve financial systems, reporting tools, and business processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience leading accounting teams and financial operations.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and manufacturing accounting principles.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, QAD, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA or CMA designation strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience with capital expenditure planning and project analysis.
