Job Description

Controller Miamisburg, OH $100,000 – $130,000 Our client, a growing manufacturer, is looking for a Controller who is passionate about leading and developing a team of accountants. This role will report directly to the CFO and has exposure to the executive team.
Controller Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Controller manages the accounting staff who are responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and month-end close preparation. Recruits and hires accounting and financial staff and conducts performance evaluations. Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff.
Controller Responsibilities:
The Controller establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions. Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards. Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit. Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
Controller Required Skills:
Excellent management and supervisory skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficient in accounting software, preferably Sage Intacct or Microsoft Dynamics. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. 3+ years or more of accounting leadership experience required. Previous Controller experience or 5+ years of experience as an Accounting Manager in a manufacturing environment CPA preferred, but not required.
