Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for a significant part of the company's financial reporting and month end closing processes, in all areas excluding inventory. This position is also responsible for cash/banking, taxes, payroll/benefits, AR & AP, and insurance. This position has oversight of a staff of four-six professionals.Responsibilities include:
Manage a team of professionals- four to six senior and staff accountants Oversight of accounts receivable and accounts payable, including processing invoices, weekly payments, credit card statements, reconciliations of received/not invoiced reports, payments, recording of credits/debits, unapplied cash, past due accounts, all collection activities, and other reporting Manage fixed asset system Month End account reconciliations
- all areas except inventory Oversight of treasury (including international) Banking Manage relationship Loan renewals Covenant compliance Reporting cash flow Reconciliations intercompany loan payoffs Real estate Financial reporting and analysis Property purchase and sale analysis Provide leadership in property and casualty insurance, medical benefits (self-insured), workers compensation, includes evaluating insurance coverage options, programs, and plan designs targeted at reducing costs Provide leadership in administering Company 401k program Proactive management of Medicare enrollment Leads risk management activities, including property tax accruals, PBC schedules for tax and audit, monthly accrual recons for property tax, state sales tax refunds, answering tax notices, monitoring tax calendars for upcoming filings, state commercial activity tax reporting Oversight of Sales & Use tax reporting, including exemption certificates and monthly accrual recons Oversight of Income Tax, including payments and dividends Oversight of R&D tax credits Provides detail work in Mergers & Acquisitions (due diligence and integration) Assistance in budget development and reporting Additional items as assigned by manager

This position primarily interacts with company leadership, customers, vendors, banks, and accounting/finance personnel.C OMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Accounting acumen- perform and review account reconciliations. Progressive leadership skills

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance CPA preferred Minimum 5-10 years' experience in progressive accounting roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment Leadership skills- manage a team of professionals
