About the Role Our client is an innovative, mission-driven organization at the forefront of the life sciences industry, focused on advancing scientific discovery and enabling breakthrough solutions. They are seeking a Controller to serve as a key financial leader and strategic partner to the business. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this division (approximately $30M in annual revenue) Controller oversees all accounting, financial reporting, and plant-level financial performance, while driving insights that support operational and strategic decision-making for the division located in Shaker Heights, Ohio. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Accounting Lead all accounting operations, including month-end close, reconciliations, and cost accounting Prepare accurate and timely financial statements Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain strong internal controls Oversee treasury processes and revenue/expense recognition Financial Planning & Analysis Analyze financial performance and identify risks and opportunities Partner with operations and leadership to develop forecasts and the Annual Operating Plan Monitor key business metrics, cost structures, and product profitability Drive inventory controls and performance (e.g., turns, accuracy, obsolescence) Leadership & Business Partnership Lead and develop the plant finance team Act as a trusted advisor to cross-functional leaders Promote financial discipline and accountability across the business Qualifications 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, including plant or operational finance (must have hands-on experience with Cost Accounting and Inventory) Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Proven leadership and team management experience Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience required (SAP S/4HANA a plus) Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred Additional Details Based in the Greater Cleveland area (on-site) Occasional travel required

Pay:

$120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
