As Controller, you'll help ensure financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and strong accounting practices across a diverse and growing operation. Controller Benefits & Compensation Competitive salary based on experience Paid time off Paid holidays Health, dental, vision, and life insurance options 401(k) with company match Full-time, on-site position in Blackwell, OK Hands-on leadership role with direct access to company leadership Long-term opportunity with an established and growing organization Controller Requirements & Qualifications Accounting and/or Controller-level experience required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel Experience with accounting and financial software Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with leadership and other departments Strong judgment, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential financial information Controller Preferred Background & Skills Experience in the petroleum, fuel, transportation, wholesale, retail, or related industries preferred Inventory accounting experience strongly preferred Experience with multi-location operations Familiarity with tax preparation, audits, and regulatory reporting Experience with fuel invoicing and/or transportation accounting Knowledge of federal and state reporting requirements Experience working with banks, lenders, creditors, and other financial partners Controller Day-to-Day Responsibilities Oversee and support day-to-day accounting processes to ensure accurate recording of business activity Prepare and analyze financial statements and financial reports for company leadership Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper accounting for petroleum and other inventory Assist with tax returns, audits, regulatory filings, licensing, and industry reporting requirements Monitor cash balances, credit facilities, and financial requirements Provide financial documentation to banks, lenders, creditors, and other business partners Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Provide hands-on support and backup coverage for accounts payable, payroll, fuel invoicing, and other accounting functions Review accounting practices for compliance with GAAP, company policies, and applicable regulations Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, reporting, and overall efficiency Work closely with company leadership and other departments to resolve accounting issues and support business objectives Maintain strict confidentiality of company financial and business information If you're looking for a hands-on Controller opportunity where you can make a direct impact, work closely with leadership, and become an integral part of an established organization , this is an excellent opportunity to advance your career.
