Assistant Controller Compensation:
$130,000 + (Final salary will be based on relevant experience and qualifications)
Location:
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Assistant Controller to join their team! This is a strong opportunity for an experienced accounting leader who enjoys working in a hands-on, high-impact environment. You'll play a key role in supporting upstream oil and gas accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close while partnering closely with operations and leadership to improve processes and strengthen controls.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Oversee revenue, JIB, AP, production accounting, and reporting coordination. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities. Review journal entries, reconciliations, and close deliverables. Perform variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods. Assist with annual audit preparation and supporting schedules. Partner with operations, land, revenue, and FP&A teams. Support process improvements and accounting system enhancements. Help mentor and develop the accounting team.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 8+ years of progressive accounting experience. Supervisory or leadership experience. Strong upstream oil and gas accounting background. Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls. Experience with financial reporting and close processes. Advanced Excel skills, including pivots and lookups. Have Skills & Experience:
CPA designation. Public accounting experience. Multi-entity accounting experience. Experience with ERP or production accounting systems. Exposure to data analysis tools or reporting automation. SQL experience.
