This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys both strategic financial thinking and hands-on accounting oversight. You'll work closely with the CEO and leadership team to strengthen financial systems, improve visibility into company performance, and support smart decision-making as we continue to grow. This position is ideal for someone who wants meaningful work and flexibility without a full-time schedule. What You'll DoFinancial Oversight & Reporting Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes Review financial statements for accuracy and completeness Monitor financial performance and key business metrics Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Accounting Operations Oversee general ledger and accounting functions Ensure strong accounting procedures and internal controls Review reconciliations, journal entries, and financial documentation Ensure compliance with GAAP and financial regulations Strategic Financial Support Provide financial analysis and insight to support leadership decision-making Assist with annual budgeting and operating plans Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost management Support financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning Systems & Process Improvement Improve financial workflows and accounting processes Support accounting system optimization and reporting improvements Help implement financial best practices and documentation standards Compliance & External Coordination Coordinate with external CPA, tax preparers, and auditors Support annual tax preparation and audits Ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA strongly preferred 7+ years of accounting or financial leadership experience Previous Controller or senior accounting leadership experience preferred Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Experience with QuickBooks Online Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with day-to-day accounting oversight Strong communication and collaboration skills About You You're someone who likes building structure where it's needed, spotting inefficiencies before they become problems, and helping leadership understand the story behind the numbers. You're comfortable working independently, but collaborative by nature. You care about accuracy, process improvement, and supporting a team that genuinely wants to do good work.
