Job Description Controller/VP of Finance Abington, Pa Will lead the accounting and financial reporting function for a privately held multi-family portfolio of 7,000+ units. Reporting to the CFO, this individual will own the integrity of the company's financial statements, oversee property-level and management company accounting, facilitate lender reporting, and build the systems and team needed to scale with a growing portfolio. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who wants both strategic influence and operational ownership of the numbers. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Accounting

• Own timely, accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements across the portfolio and corporate entities
• Oversee property-level accounting for 7,000+ units, ensuring consistency across the property management/accounting system
• Manage the month-end and year-end close process; continuously improve close timelines and accuracy
• Ensure GAAP compliance and maintain strong internal controls across all entities and funds/JVs Treasury, Debt & Lender Relations
• Manage cash management and treasury functions across multiple entities and bank accounts
• Oversee debt compliance, covenant reporting, and lender relationships alongside the CFO
• Support loan draws, refinancing, and disposition/acquisition closings from a finance and accounting standpoint Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
• Lead the annual budgeting process at the property and portfolio level in partnership with Operations
• Produce variance analysis and reforecasts; deliver clear, actionable reporting to ownership/CFO
• Partner with Business Development on underwriting support, hold/sell analysis, and capital planning Team & Systems Leadership
• Build, mentor, and manage the accounting team
• Own and optimize accounting/ERP systems and drive process improvement
• Establish and document scalable policies, procedures, and internal controls as the portfolio grows Strategic Partnership
• Serve as a key advisor to the CFO and executive team on financial strategy, acquisitions, and capital structure
• Provide financial due diligence support for new acquisitions and dispositions

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred
• 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, MAJOR

PLUS IS EXPERIENCE

in real estate (multi-family strongly preferred)

• Deep knowledge of GAAP, real estate fund/JV accounting structures, and property-level P&L management
• Base 140k plus depending on exp.
