Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Controller to lead our accounting function and ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting while improving processes and supporting strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Compliance Own GAAP financial statements and reporting Lead month-end and year-end close process Oversee accounting operations (GL, AP/AR, payroll, revenue recognition) Manage audits and ensure compliance Cash Management Monthly Bank Reconciliations Weekly Cash Balance Report Tie daily cash reports to SF Reconcile Petty Cash Leadership & Team Management Lead and develop accounting team Seamlessly integrate acquisition targets Process Improvement & Systems Drive automation and ERP improvements Business Partnership Support leadership with insights, budgeting, and forecasting Required skills/experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance CPA preferred 10-15 years' experience; 5+ years as Controller Strong GAAP knowledge and team leadership experience Preferred Qualifications Public accounting experience (Big 4 or regional firm) Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth environment ERP implementation or optimization experience (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) Industry experience aligned with life sciences, media, or B2B services preferred Why Work for Life Science Connect?
