00 per Year 7 Years Experience Bachelor's degree No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Day Shift / Full-Time Description Description We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our team. The Financial Controller is responsible for leading all accounting and financial reporting functions within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in both internal and external audits, along with a strong understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory, and cost management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Financial Reporting & Accounting Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP Lead complex accounting transactions include acquisitions, divestitures, valuation and other Manage all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets Ensure proper accounting for inventory, cost of goods sold (COGS), and manufacturing variances Analyze financial results and provide actionable insights to leadership Audit & Compliance Lead and coordinate external financial statement audits and internal audits Serve as the primary liaison with auditors; ensure timely responses and resolution of findings Maintain audit-ready financial records and documentation at all times Evaluate and enhance internal controls over financial reporting (SOX experience preferred, if applicable) Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, corporate policies, and accounting standards Implement corrective actions and process improvements based on audit findings Ensure appropriate application of complex transactions such as acquisitions, divestitures, and/or other non-standard closing activities Internal Controls & Risk Management Design, implement, and monitor robust internal control systems Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies Continuously improve processes to strengthen compliance and operational efficiency Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Support Maintain and improve cost accounting systems, including standard costing and variance analysis Monitor production costs, labor efficiencies, scrap, and overhead allocation Partner with operations to improve financial performance and reduce costs Support inventory management, cycle counts, and physical inventory processes ERP Implementation Drive implementation of Plex ERP system from a controls perspective Ensure other functions are fully supported in establishing ERP framework Become expert user to facilitate knowledge transfer and drive best practices Leadership & Team Development Manage and develop the accounting team, including performance management and training Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and executive leadership

WORKING ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Predominantly operates in an office or home office environment. However, position may need to walk frequently through shift on concrete in production areas. May be exposed to moderate heat, light dust, fumes, cold temperatures, and noise. Adequate hearing, eye, and footwear protection is required in production areas.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has direct and indirect supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (Master's preferred), CPA strongly preferred 7-10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including within a manufacturing environment Proven experience leading or supporting financial audits (external and internal) Prior experience with cost accounting and inventory management required Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of GAAP, audit processes, and internal controls Experience with complex account transactions Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail with strong organizational abilities Expertise in cost accounting and manufacturing finance Effective communication skills, including ability to interface with auditors and executive leadership Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems ERP Implementation experience highly preferred

Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills Ability to lead and work within a cross-functional team environment Ability to identify and resolve complex Accounting issues Ability to develop and implement Accounting strategies that align with business goals Ability to manage Accounting projects from start to finish Fluent in English
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Close visual acuity and repetitive movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers to operate standard office equipment required. Will need to walk short distances and may occasionally exert up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Salary Description 145,000
