full-time An established and growing manufacturer is seeking an experienced Plant Controller to lead the accounting and finance function for its manufacturing operation in Hermitage, Pennsylvania . This is a highly visible role for someone who enjoys being more than a traditional accounting leader. The Controller will work closely with plant leadership, operations, and corporate finance while owning the financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, costing, inventory, controls, and day-to-day accounting activities for the facility. What You'll Do Lead the plant's accounting and financial reporting activities, including monthly and quarterly financial reporting Own the annual budget, monthly forecasting, and actual-versus-budget analysis Partner closely with manufacturing and operations leadership to provide financial insight that supports business decisions Oversee product costing, manufacturing costs, profitability analysis, and job/pricing analysis Ensure accurate inventory and production reporting Manage and develop the plant accounting team across AP, AR, payroll, pricing, and general accounting Review and approve journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and other close activities Oversee fixed assets, capital spending analysis, and expenditure justification Partner with internal audit and ensure strong financial controls and compliance Monitor accounts receivable and partner with commercial leadership on outstanding balances Work cross-functionally with Human Resources and other plant departments Help improve accounting processes, reporting, controls, and overall financial visibility across the operation What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience Strong preference for experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or plant environment Solid understanding of cost accounting, inventory, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting Previous experience leading or supervising an accounting team Strong Excel skills and the ability to work effectively with financial and operational systems Ability to communicate financial information effectively to both accounting and non-financial operational leaders Hands-on leadership style with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities CPA is preferred but not required Why Consider This Opportunity?
