Position Summary The Controller will lead the accounting and finance function for a manufacturing organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and effective business partnership across the organization. This role is responsible for overseeing the month-end close process, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, compliance activities, and the development of a high-performing accounting team. The Controller will work closely with executive and operational leadership to support strategic decision-making and drive continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Lead all accounting and financial reporting activities for the organization. Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial results. Oversee preparation and review of financial statements, account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules. Develop and maintain financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes. Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and support key business decisions. Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Maintain and strengthen internal controls and financial processes. Coordinate internal and external audit activities. Monitor cash flow, working capital, and overall financial performance. Drive process improvements, reporting enhancements, and system optimization initiatives. Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance team members. Support strategic initiatives, capital projects, and ad hoc financial analyses. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA preferred. 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience. Prior experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, Finance Manager, or similar leadership role. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general accounting, and internal controls. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Proven ability to lead teams and partner effectively with business leaders. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
