Job Description:
Plant Controller - $105,000 to $115,000 A well-established manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Plant Controller to join its plant leadership team. This position will serve as a key financial partner to plant management and oversee accounting, cost analysis, forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, and operational performance analysis for the facility. The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing and cost accounting experience and be comfortable working closely with operations to provide financial insight and support business decisions. Key Responsibilities Serve as a financial business partner to the Plant Manager and plant leadership team. Track and report plant operating performance and provide insight into key performance indicators (KPIs). Support the development and maintenance of standard costs for manufactured products. Analyze, report, and budget fixed expenses. Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Develop costs and cost standards for new products and manufacturing processes. Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial and operational data. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial and plant operations reporting. Manage monthly close responsibilities, including journal entries, variance calculations, and inventory reporting. Provide detailed cost accounting analysis related to plant operations. Prepare monthly account reconciliations for assigned accounts. Partner effectively with cross-functional teams and internal departments. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent. 4+ years of Plant Controller and/or related cost accounting experience. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis. Strong proficiency in Excel; experience with Access and SAP is preferred. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Self-motivated, deadline-oriented, and able to work independently. Strong sense of ownership and ability to effectively collaborate across functions. steve@monocletalent.com
