Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead core accounting operations and provide reliable financial insight that supports business decisions across multiple facilities. This position plays a role in monthly reporting, cost analysis, compliance, and budget coordination while partnering closely with leadership to strengthen financial performance. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex data in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Produce timely monthly internal financial reports and help ensure reporting accuracy across the organization.
- Direct cost accounting activities for multiple locations, investigate performance fluctuations, and recommend actions to improve operating results.
- Coordinate audit support by compiling schedules, records, and other documentation needed by external auditors and tax advisors.
- Oversee sales and use tax activities to help maintain compliance with applicable regulations.
- Review and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring supporting documentation is complete and accurate.
- Evaluate accounting controls and contribute to the development of stronger processes and system-related procedures.
- Respond to leadership requests for financial reporting, modeling, and analysis that inform strategic and operational decisions.
- Partner with department leaders during the annual budgeting cycle to gather, organize, and consolidate key financial inputs.
- Manage accounting matters involving multi-site and multi-division transactions while collaborating with the management team to deliver meaningful financial insights.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CPA or a comparable accounting credential is strongly preferred.
- Solid knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proven ability to prioritize competing deadlines, manage multiple responsibilities, and work independently when needed.
- Excellent organizational skills, leadership capability, and close attention to detail.
