Key qualifications include:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or related field; CMA, CPA, or MBA highly preferred Minimum of 3 years as a Controller with supervisory experience Proven expertise in manufacturing accounting, cost analysis, and month-end/year-end close Familiarity with GAAP and experience working with auditors Strong proficiency with ERP systems Excellent communication skills and ability to manage large data sets efficiently Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and problem-solving capabilities The primary responsibilities for this Controller position encompass: Preparing comprehensive monthly financial statements and detailed analytical reports Providing in-depth cost accounting support specifically tailored to manufacturing activities Partnering with production teams to ensure accurate capture of costs and analyzing variances Acting as the main liaison with external auditors during financial audits and tax filings Overseeing compliance with Sales and Use Tax regulations Conducting timely and thorough balance sheet reconciliations with proper documentation Managing treasury functions and capital expenditure processes, including depreciation handling Leading system controls improvements and collaborating with IT to automate financial processes Supporting management with insightful financial analysis and strategic recommendations Overseeing the finance team, including the Assistant Controller, Accounts Receivable, and A/P managers Facilitating the annual budgeting process across multiple locations and divisions Challenging existing policies and proposing enhancements to accounting procedures Handling other related duties as needed Perks & benefits include competitive compensation in the $135K- 165K range, a collaborative work environment, opportunities for professional growth, and the chance to influence company financial strategy.
