full-time Our client is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Controller to provide financial leadership for a growing manufacturing operation. This position will oversee all accounting and financial reporting activities, partner closely with plant and operational leadership, and drive financial performance through strong cost accounting, analysis, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical accounting expertise, manufacturing finance experience, and a hands-on leadership style. Responsibilities Lead all accounting and financial activities for the manufacturing operation. Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and key performance indicators. Manage cost accounting functions, including inventory valuation, standard costing, variance analysis, and product costing. Partner with operations leadership to improve profitability, productivity, and cost efficiency. Analyze manufacturing performance, labor utilization, material costs, waste, and overhead spending. Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans. Monitor working capital performance, including inventory and cash flow management. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls. Coordinate audits and support external reporting requirements. Lead and develop accounting staff while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Support ERP optimization, process improvements, and strategic business initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred. 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment required. Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and standard costing methodologies. Experience managing financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Knowledge of ERP systems and advanced Excel skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities. Proven ability to partner with operational leaders and influence business decisions.
