Job Description:
As the Controller, you'll lead the accounting organization for a well-established, multi-location organization while serving as a strategic partner to executive leadership. You'll oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, and process improvement initiatives that support continued growth, ensuring financial integrity while building scalable systems and developing high-performing teams. Lead the accounting organization, including financial reporting, accounting operations, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable across multiple locations Coach, mentor, and develop accounting team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement Partner with executive leadership on strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and operational decision-making Oversee monthly and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations Improve working capital performance through effective oversight of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions Identify and implement process improvements, automation initiatives, and financial system enhancements to increase efficiency and scalability Develop KPIs, dashboards, and financial performance metrics that provide actionable insights to leadership Support mergers, acquisitions, integrations, and other strategic growth initiatives Build strong partnerships with operational leaders to strengthen financial performance and accountability across the organization Promote a professional, collaborative, and safety-focused workplace culture Qualifications 12+ years of experience in accounting Managerial experience required Some type of strategic planning experience required Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) GAAP knowledge, CPA preferred Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills Desire to work in a high-growth environment Any M&A experience is a plus
