Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and highly skilled Controller to join our accounting team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role involves overseeing key financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and delivering accurate financial reports and analyses. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and a deep understanding of financial management principles.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the management of property financials, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all financial records, transactions, and reports.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, along with variance reports and performance summaries.
  • Maintain compliance with accounting principles, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
  • Coordinate the preparation of financial reports and documentation for audits, tax filings, and other compliance-related activities.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, fostering collaboration and high performance.
  • Work closely with property managers, operations teams, and executive leadership to address financial and operational challenges.
  • Utilize advanced analytical skills to identify trends and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Manage and optimize accounting systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
