We are seeking an Accounting Manager/Controller to own the company's financial operations. Beyond maintaining accurate books and timely payroll, this position carries responsibility for monthly review of project financial performance and for surfacing issues to leadership while they can still be addressed. Responsibilities Process weekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees Prepare and file quarterly payroll tax returns using Berkheimer and coordinate year-end filings Deposit checks and manage disbursements, including recurring obligations such as rent, insurance, and equipment Reconcile bank and credit card accounts and maintain the general ledger in QuickBooks Online Serve as primary contact for our outside accountant, including for our affiliated union entity, and support union fringe and benefit fund reporting Review monthly project cost and margin reporting; identify and escalate projects trending unfavorably Maintain an ongoing cash flow forecast and identify liquidity constraints in advance Oversee AR officer and AP manager's activities and ensure timely payment of bills and collection of receivables Primary point of contact for compliance reporting (e.g., Insurance and union audits, auto registrations, bank loan, etc.) Act as office manager for the Pittston location Qualifications Required Five or more years of accounting or bookkeeping experience Working knowledge of job costing and percentage-of-completion accounting Weekly payroll processing and quarterly payroll tax filing experience Demonstrated ability to own a monthly close Proficiency in QuickBooks Online Discretion in handling confidential financial and payroll information Preferred Certified payroll experience (Davis-Bacon, Pennsylvania prevailing wage) Union payroll, fringe benefit reporting experience Familiarity with AIA billing (G702/G703), lien waivers, and retainage Degree in accounting or finance, or CPA credential

$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
