Automotive Assistant Controller

Scott Auto Group is seeking an Automotive Assistant Controller for our dealership located in Springfield Pennsylvania. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of our financial statements and managing key financial processes and schedules. You will play a vital role in overseeing cash management, factory receivables, finance product remittances, reserves, and product cancellations, contributing significantly to our financial success. What You'll Do:

Work with the Controller to generate management reports detailing the financial condition of the dealership Participate in the sales and expense analysis to detect potential problem areas and opportunities for improved company profitability Assist the Controller with providing timely reviews of dealership financial status and progress Assist with the hiring of accounting office personnel Complete reconciliation of schedules and banking Reinforce company policies and adheres to all company standards Maintain and inspect for compliance with all applicable laws and regulations Ensure proper internal controls are in place Review the reconciliation of general ledger accounts with outside sources to ensure proper bank reconciliation, reserve accounts, factory payable, and floor plan payable Schedule review and maintenance on a weekly basis Other administrative and accounting duties as needed

What We're Looking For:

Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller in an automotive dealership. Experience with the DealerTrack DMS is a plus but not required.
