Job Description
A successful and growing organization is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to provide strategic financial leadership and oversee all aspects of the company's accounting and finance functions. This key leadership position partners closely with executive management to ensure financial integrity, operational efficiency, and long-term organizational success. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong business acumen, a strategic mindset, and the ability to translate financial data into meaningful business decisions. Essential Responsibilities Lead all accounting and finance operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, budgeting, financial reporting, and cash management. Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans. Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and resource allocation. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, internal controls, and company policies. Coordinate internal and external audits and oversee the implementation of audit recommendations. Develop financial models and performance metrics to support executive decision-making. Partner with department leaders to establish financial goals and monitor performance. Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes through automation, technology, and best practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required. Seven or more years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience. Demonstrated experience leading budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and strategic planning initiatives. Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, financial analysis, and business operations. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management systems. Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment while managing multiple priorities.
