Tannersville, PA (On-Site) The Hotel Controller is responsible for performing all financial and accounting operations of the hotel. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, compliance with USALI standards, and supports operational leadership with financial insights to drive profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting Prepare and review monthly financial statements in accordance with USALI Analyze variances vs. budget, forecast, and prior year Produce daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports (Daily Flash, P&L, Balance Sheet) Maintain general ledger accuracy and oversee month-end close process Internal Controls & Compliance Ensure compliance with company policies and audit standards Maintain strong internal controls over cash, receivables, payables, and payroll Oversee internal and external audits Ensure adherence to tax and regulatory requirements Cash Management Monitor cash flow and bank reconciliations Oversee AR collections and aging Manage AP processes and vendor payments Operational Support Partner with department leaders to improve profitability and control costs Review labor productivity, cost of sales, and expense management Support revenue management and capital expenditure planning Team Leadership Supervise accounting team (AP, AR, Payroll, Income Audit) Train and develop staff Establish performance standards and accountability
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Experience 3-7+ years of accounting experience (hospitality preferred) Prior hotel accounting or Assistant Controller experience strongly preferred Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of hotel accounting and USALI standards Advanced Excel skills Financial analysis and forecasting expertise Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Leadership and communication abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced, operational environment Benefits /
