About the Opportunity A growing, investment-focused organization in the mortgage servicing and fintech space is seeking an Associate Vice President of Reporting & Analytics to lead enterprise reporting and data initiatives tied to Mortgage Servicing Rights (MSRs) . This role sits at the intersection of data, mortgage servicing operations, and regulatory compliance , and is ideal for someone who brings both deep servicing expertise and strong technical skills . You'll play a critical role in shaping reporting strategy, ensuring audit readiness, and scaling a modern data environment within a highly regulated business. The Role This is a hands-on, working manager position responsible for owning reporting and analytics while leading a small team. You will oversee end-to-end reporting processes, partner with business stakeholders, and ensure all outputs meet internal, investor, and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading enterprise reporting strategy across operational, financial, and compliance domains Supporting regulatory reporting and audits (state, federal, and agency-level requirements) Managing data governance, data integrity, and secure data flows across systems Building and maintaining exception reporting, delinquency tracking, and risk monitoring Delivering investor and industry reporting , including periodic submissions and data requests Writing and optimizing
SQL/T-SQL
queries for large, complex datasets Identifying opportunities to automate and improve reporting processes Managing and mentoring a team of 3 , with potential to scale What You'll Need Mortgage Servicing Expertise (Required) 5+ years of direct mortgage servicing experience (non-negotiable) Deep understanding of: Mortgage servicing lifecycle (payments, delinquencies, defaults) MSRs (Mortgage Servicing Rights) Regulatory frameworks, audits, and compliance expectations Agency guidelines (e.g., Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae) State-level rules, servicing fees (e.g., NSF), and operational requirements This role requires true subject matter expertise , not just exposure to mortgage data. Technical & Leadership Skills Advanced experience with
SQL / T-SQL
(hands-on development) Background in reporting, analytics, BI, or data engineering Experience working with large datasets and reconciling data issues Prior team leadership or mentoring experience Ability to operate as a player/coach (hands-on + leadership) Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Technology Environment Microsoft-centric stack (SQL Server, Azure components, APIs) BI tools such as Power BI Transition underway to Snowflake as a core data platform Mix of proprietary systems and external vendor data feeds All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
