Statutory Accounting Principles Full Job Description Job Title:
AVP, Finance & Reporting Location:
Remote Position Summary Leads GAAP and Statutory financial reporting, ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Partners with business leaders to support financial planning, strategic initiatives, and enterprise reporting for a public insurance organization. Key Responsibilities Oversee GAAP, SEC, FINRA, and Statutory (SAP) financial reporting across business segments. Ensure accurate accounting across key areas including investments, insurance products, and equity. Maintain SOX-compliant internal controls over financial reporting and general ledger processes. Support financial planning, modeling, and capital/EPS projections. Partner with business leaders on strategic initiatives, new products, and regulatory changes. Lead interactions with external auditors and state regulators. Monitor and ensure compliance with evolving accounting standards and regulations. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or Master's degree preferred. 10+ years of experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of GAAP and Statutory (SAP) accounting in the insurance industry. Experience with financial systems and reporting tools. Proven leadership, project management, and business partnering skills. Additional Information High-impact role with peak workload during quarter-end and year-end cycles.Salary Range:
