Business Unit Controller

About the Role We're looking for a hands-on Controller to lead financial operations for a growing healthcare business unit of a $500mm company. This is a high-visibility role partnering directly with senior leadership, owning the full accounting cycle, and driving financial insights that impact business decisions. If you enjoy owning the numbers, improving processes, and working in a fast-paced environment—this is a strong opportunity to step into a key leadership role. What You'll Do Own the general ledger, month-end, and year-end close Prepare and present financial reports to leadership Manage AP, AR, billing, and account reconciliations Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Oversee cash flow and financial controls Partner with operations and leadership on financial performance Support audits, tax, and compliance (GAAP) Help build and improve processes as the business grows What We're Looking For 7+ years of experience in accounting or finance Background as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Experience with full-cycle accounting (GL, close, AP/AR) Comfortable working hands-on and independently Strong communication skills and ability to work with leadership Nice to
