Target Compensation:
$115,000-$120,000, with potential flexibility based on experience Key Responsibilities for the
Controller:
Oversee daily accounting operations, cash management, bank activity, billing, AR/AP, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Manage payroll reporting for approximately 42 employees, including commission-based compensation calculations for equity partners. Maintain proper separation and management of client and operating funds, including IOLTA accounts. Lead and mentor two staff accountants while serving as a financial resource to attorneys and firm leadership. Controller:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. Prior Controller or comparable progressive accounting experience; direct people-management experience is not required if you have demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities. Law firm accounting experience strongly preferred; professional services, public accounting, wealth management, healthcare, or other relevant environments will be considered. Strong Excel skills required; experience with cash-basis accounting, client trust funds, commission-based payroll, or ShorePoint is a plus. #
