Controller

We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Lansing, Michigan. This is a contract position that offers a hybrid work arrangement, with initial on-site training followed by remote work. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership and accounting expertise, along with the ability to manage financial operations effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of financial reporting, including month-end close processes.
• Utilize Acumatica software to streamline accounting and operational workflows.
• Monitor job costing and ensure accurate allocation of expenses across manufacturing projects.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and assembly teams to optimize financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Periodically travel on-site for meetings and reviews as required.
• Provide strategic insights to improve financial processes and cost efficiency.
• Lead and mentor accounting staff to maintain a high-performing team.
• Analyze financial data to support decision-making and business growth.
• Develop and implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
