Controller

KBW Financial Staffing has partnered with a valued client in Concord, NH to identify an experienced Controller to join their growing team! This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on accounting leader who enjoys owning the full accounting function while helping drive process improvements and supporting strategic financial operations. The Controller will oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, month-end close, and the annual budgeting process. This position offers a hybrid schedule after training, but candidates must be local to the Concord, NH area to be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and develop a small accounting team, fostering growth and accountability Establish, enhance, and maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures Oversee the preparation and execution of the annual budget process Review account reconciliations, AP/AR activity, payroll, journal entries, and financial reporting for accuracy and completeness Take ownership of the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial results Partner with external auditors and coordinate audit-related requests and deliverables Attend board meetings and provide financial insight and reporting support as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 3+ years of experience in an accounting leadership or management role Strong Excel skills, including experience with PivotTables, IF formulas, SUM, INDEX/MATCH, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and other advanced functions Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and present financial information clearly

Compensation:
