Controller - CPA

Established (35+ Years) Premier UCaaS Co. Seeking Finance Controller in Plano, TXAn established, growing Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) provider based in Plano, TX with over 35+ years in business is seeking a Controller with 7+ years of experience and CPA license to join their team onsite. This role is positioned as a Controller who would eventually grow into a CFO, offering long-term leadership growth within the organization. This individual will oversee financial reporting, technical accounting, internal controls, GAAP compliance, acquisition integration, and outsourced accounting operations, working closely with an India-based accounting team and cross-functional finance leadership.

Qualifications:

Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required7+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting and/or private company auditBachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceUnderstanding of

U.S. GAAP, ASC

606, and SaaS/UCaaS revenue modelsExperience with M&A due diligence, purchase accounting, and post-merger integration (Plus)Ability to manage outsourced accounting partners and offshore teamsProficiency with Sage Intacct, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong communication and organizational skills with comfort working cross-functionally with remote leadership

Responsibilities:

Oversee outsourced and India-based accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reportingMaintain integrity of financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAPManage and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and documentationCoordinate with tax advisors on income tax returns and manage Avalara sales tax complianceLead financial integration of acquired businesses including system migration and chart of accounts alignmentManage monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements, board reporting packages, and variance analysesOversee the audit process and coordinate with external auditorsSupport budgeting, forecasting, and financial scenario planning alongside the VP of FinanceEvaluate financial systems improvements and automation opportunitiesHandle confidential HR and finance correspondence on behalf of the organizationGrow into the CFO role as the company scales
