Hybrid work structure (2-3 days work from home) Highly visible role About Our Client I'm currently working on a search for a client that is looking to fill a Controller position in Western Oklahoma. Our client is one of the largest global producers of products in their niche. They are a multi-billion-dollar organization that services a vast network of industries with 10k+ products!
Job Description Controller Responsibilities:
Serve as a strategic finance partner to the Plant Manager and operations leadership team Provide insightful analysis on plant performance, including cost, productivity, yield, scrap, and margin drivers Support decision-making on pricing, make/buy, capital investments, and continuous improvement initiatives Actively participate in plant staff meetings and operational reviews Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for the plant Prepare and review financial statements, variance analyses, and management reporting packages Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, corporate accounting policies, and SOX internal control requirements Coordinate internal and external audits, including walkthroughs and documentation support Lead the annual operating plan (AOP) process and periodic forecasts for the plant Analyze trends and risks, providing early warning of financial performance gaps Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and cost reduction initiatives against plan Oversee standard costing, bill of materials accuracy, routings, and labor rates Analyze and explain variances (PPV, usage, absorption, overhead) Lead physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory valuation processes Monitor and improve inventory turns, obsolescence reserves, and working capital performance MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
