Position Summary:
Responsible for managing and oversight of financial planning, modeling, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, decision support, productivity, benchmarking, performance reporting and business strategic analytics for the healthcare system. Responsible for the development, production, maintenance and improvement of existing financial and productivity reports, ad hoc reports, variance analyses and new business plans. Responsible for management and maintenance of the Budgeting, Productivity, Comparative Analytics, Planning and Cost Accounting financial system modules. Responsible for analysis of monthly financial and operating results and preparation of ongoing financial and operational KPI dashboards. Initiates analysis of existing and proposed activities to identify areas of opportunity for improved performance and to ensure that financial assumptions and projections are sound to help lead cost reduction and strategic business decisions.
Responsibilities:
Provides leadership and management of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, decision support, productivity and benchmarking efforts Guides finance, decision support and management teams in analysis of financial and productivity results Directs and assists in preparation, monitoring and management of operating and capital budgets and forecasts Develop, analyze, monitor and report on financial and key performance reports and metrics; provide recommendations as needed Reviews monthly financial statement variances, oversees, organizes and supports divisional balanced scorecard meetings and initiates corrective action plans where appropriate Responsible for development and review of financial models and proformas Manages the Axiom Budgeting, Productivity, Comparative Analytics, Planning and Cost Accounting financial modules Provides counsel on the financial impacts of actions for consideration Proactively identifies and executes on areas where process improvement is needed; streamline processes to maximize efficiency Develops the team's ability to effectively analyze data, synthesize insights into recommendations, and visualize reports for delivery to stakeholders Collaborates with the Director of Enterprise Analytics to ensure budget and financial analysts are accessing and pulling data needed for strategic and financial initiatives Maintains strong working relationships with executive and department leadership. Supports special projects and other engagements as directed Performs other related duties as assigned Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field required Master's degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration preferred Five years' of healthcare finance/accounting experience required Experience with increasing responsibility for data analytics, financial analysis and accounting skills required Excellent leadership, problem-solving, planning and organizational skills and capabilities Strong verbal and written communication skills Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) Experience with healthcare and financial systems preferred (Epic and Axiom)
