$160,000 - $180,000 About the Company Our client is a successful and expanding organization in the northwest Twin Cities metro. The company is looking for a hands-on finance executive to lead financial operations, improve business processes, and support continued growth through data-driven decision-making. Position Summary The Director of Finance will provide leadership across accounting and finance functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, operational efficiency, and sound fiscal management. This position will collaborate closely with executive leadership to develop strategies that support revenue growth, operational excellence, and financial stability. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Operations Oversee daily finance and accounting operations, including month-end and year-end close processes. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with company policies. Monitor balance sheet integrity and oversee account reconciliation activities. Direct treasury functions and financial risk management initiatives. Strategic Finance & Forecasting Develop financial models to support strategic planning and business growth initiatives. Lead forecasting efforts and provide insights into financial performance trends. Support pricing, profitability, and investment analysis. Provide executive leadership with actionable recommendations based on financial data. Process Improvement & Systems Management Evaluate and improve accounting workflows and internal reporting processes. Lead financial system enhancements and technology implementations. Establish policies and procedures that improve efficiency and scalability. Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and strengthen controls. Leadership & Collaboration Manage and develop accounting and finance professionals. Serve as a key financial resource to department leaders across the organization. Build strong relationships with banking, audit, and external business partners. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. 8+ years of progressive finance, accounting, or corporate financial management experience. Demonstrated leadership experience within a growing organization. Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and controls. Advanced Excel and financial systems expertise. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Desired Skills & Competencies CPA or MBA preferred. Experience leading ERP implementations or system upgrades. Strong operational finance and business process improvement background. Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution. Proven ability to lead through organizational growth and change.
