In this full-time, W-2 role, you will hold and maintain the company's commercial/residential general contracting license. You will split your time between regulatory compliance, quality control, and active field supervision to ensure all projects align with state building codes and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Licensing & Compliance (Qualifying Agent Duties)Serve as the official Qualifying Agent (QA) for the company's general contractor license.
Maintain active status by completing all mandatory continuing education hours annually.
Sign, seal, and submit building permit applications and official project documentation.
Represent the company in all communications and audits with the state licensing board. Project Supervision & Operations Provide direct, hands-on supervision across active residential and commercial job sites. Ensure all construction activities comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and OSHA standards.
Review blueprints, architectural drawings, and structural specifications for accuracy. Manage, vet, and oversee sub-contractors to ensure workmanship meets company benchmarks.
Conduct regular field inspections and coordinate with municipal code inspectors.
Role RequirementsLegal & Employment Status (Non-Negotiable) Must be legally eligible to be hired as a full-time, W-2 employee. Must commit to a minimum of 20 to 40 hours of work per week. Must pass a comprehensive background check as required by the state licensing board.
Qualifications & ExperienceExam Status:
Must already hold a valid passing score or be prepared to sit for and pass the General Contractor exam within 30 to 60 days of hire.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of verifiable supervisory experience in field construction.
Skills:
Strong literacy in blueprints, project scheduling, and local building codes.
Driver's License:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for travel between job sites.
