Job Description

Vice President - Portfolio Management Overview The Vice President - Portfolio Management is the strategic business leader responsible for end-to-end service offering strategy for the CDS portfolio of third-party maintenance and multi-vendor service offerings. The role encompasses oversight of service offer lifecycle management, roadmap development, and channel and pricing strategy to deliver sustainable revenue growth and long-term business value. The success of this role requires strong collaboration with the executive leadership team, as well as sales and service delivery operations leaders. With deep understanding of global third-party support, IT managed services market demand, and customer needs, this position will leverage market and competitive insights, and evaluate capabilities and current service offers, with a goal of optimizing and evolving CDS' global product portfolio. This includes matching offers to demand across diverse global markets, and spearheading the integration of advanced tools and technologies to modernize the portfolio, ensuring quality delivery at competitive prices. In addition to commercial leadership, the position will champion business transformation, and is pivotal to ensuring the business delivers on financial commitments and advances strategic transformation initiatives that benefit key stakeholders. Core Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding and assessment of current offerings, market opportunities, customer profiles, competitive landscape, and market trends to inform the direction of the portfolio
  • Collaborate with sales and service delivery operations leaders to define, evolve, and execute roadmaps for core service offerings by region, optimizing a mix of CDS and contractor resources to address solutions in break/fix, advanced monitoring, logistics, asset lifecycle management, and software configuration and tuning
  • Utilizing customer insights, market trends, competition landscape, and financial modeling to create competitive pricing strategies and inform portfolio investments
  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing and communications strategies to articulate CDS' value proposition, strengthen market perception, and drive sales and delivery enablement
  • Drive cross-functional alignment and executive buy-in by clearly articulating product portfolio strategy, commercial priorities, and customer value across internal teams and external partners Qualifications
  • Experience in service portfolio management and marketing within the the third-party maintenance (TPM) space
  • Experience with strategic pricing of product and service offers
  • Strong understanding of IT data center market, specifically OEM enterprise storage, compute, networking, data warehouse, and managed services
  • Ability to conduct and evaluate market research and data analysis to inform decisions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with technical teams, sellers, and executives
  • Competitive attitude, strong work ethic and ability to enthusiastically represent CDS
  • Knowledge and relationships with partners (OEMs, Resellers, MSPs, Distributors, Etc.)
  • Urgency, accountability, and tenacity to achieve personal/team goals with high standards
  • Desire to drive change and evangelize new technologies
  • Bachelor's degree.
MBA preferred.
Compensation Base Salary Range:
$180,000 - $240,000 USD annually with a performance-based bonus, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
