This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who can step into a high-visibility environment, strengthen accounting operations, and support reliable reporting during a period of organizational change. The person in this role will help bring structure to the close process, improve readiness for audit activity, and consolidate financial information across business units.

Responsibilities:

Lead monthly financial close activities and ensure timely, accurate reporting of results. Oversee preparation of financial statements, account reconciliations, and management reporting packages. Partner with consulting support during the initial engagement period to assume core accounting and reporting responsibilities. Drive audit readiness by organizing supporting documentation, improving schedules, and addressing control gaps. Consolidate financial data across multiple business segments to produce a clear and accurate roll-up of performance. Provide plant-level financial oversight with a strong focus on operational performance and accounting accuracy. Strengthen accounting processes and reinforce foundational discipline within a lean team environment. Support cost accounting activities and help improve visibility into manufacturing-related costs and variances. Prior experience serving as a Controller or Plant Controller in a manufacturing environment. Strong command of monthly close, financial reporting, and general accounting operations. Demonstrated background in audit preparation and supporting external audit requirements. Experience with business consolidations and multi-entity financial roll-ups. Solid knowledge of cost accounting principles; manufacturing cost analysis experience is strongly preferred. Ability to work independently in an interim leadership capacity while collaborating with cross-functional partners. Availability to support a 40-hour work week in a long-term contract assignment. Background with document organization, scanning, or compiling financial support materials is helpful.
