Job Description

Company The Guild Brewing Company, headquartered in Pawtucket, is one of the largest craft breweries in the country. With the addition of two new retail locations, we are continuing to expand and are seeking experienced team members to help drive our next phase of growth. Compensation includes competitive base pay plus comprehensive benefits including health & dental insurance, vacation, holidays, and an IRA. Position Summary:
Finance Controller (5-7 Years Experience) The Guild Brewing Company is seeking a Finance Controller to lead and oversee core accounting and financial operations at our Pawtucket-based brewery. This role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, managing close processes, supporting supply chain finance, and driving improvements across financial systems and processes. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both technical expertise and the ability to partner cross-functionally with operations, production, and supply chain teams. The position will report directly to senior leadership and interact regularly with internal departments as well as external vendors, customers, and partners. Key Responsibilities Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts Oversee general ledger activity, reconciliations, and financial controls Manage inventory accounting, including raw materials and finished goods valuation Partner with supply chain and operations to monitor inventory levels, cost of goods sold, and production efficiency Review and reconcile outbound shipments and related revenue recognition Ensure compliance with GAAP and support external audits and statutory reporting Develop, maintain, and improve financial models, reporting tools, and dashboards Drive process improvements within accounting, reporting, and ERP (SAP-based) systems Supervise and mentor junior accounting or administrative staff, as applicable Lead or support special projects related to growth, expansion, and operational efficiency
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Experience managing or heavily participating in month-end close processes Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling Experience with ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred)
Preferred:
Experience in manufacturing, beverage, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industries CPA or CPA-track candidate Experience with inventory and cost accounting Key Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration Process improvement and systems-thinking mindset Leadership potential with a hands-on approach Equal Opportunity Statement Isle Brewers Guild, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to workforce diversity.
