Job Description:
Job description: A leading Tier 1 automotive supplier is seeking a PlantController to join their team at the manufacturing facility near Anderson, SC. This position will play a key role in supporting plant leadership through financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and business decision support. The Controller will act as a strategic business partner to operations while ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with corporate and accounting standards. Key Responsibilities Partner with plant leadership to provide financial analysis and recommendations that support business decisions. Lead plant-level budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities. Analyze manufacturing performance, costs, productivity, and profitability. Prepare monthly variance analyses, including production output, material usage, scrap, labor, and operational costs. Support monthly and annual financial closing activities. Develop contribution margin, profitability, and financial simulation analyses. Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and operational efficiencies. Monitor financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to improve results. Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting procedures, and US GAAP requirements. Support the continuous improvement and automation of financial reporting and controlling processes. Prepare ad hoc analyses and presentations for management as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in manufacturing finance, plant controlling, or cost accounting. Automotive manufacturing experience required. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis. Strong understanding of plant operations, production costs, and manufacturing KPIs. Knowledge of US GAAP and internal control processes. Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with financial systems and reporting tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
