We are looking for an experienced finance leader to oversee accounting operations and guide financial strategy for the organization in Ladson, South Carolina. This position will lead accurate reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and support executive decision-making through clear financial insights. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in accounting leadership, compliance, and construction-related financial practices.

Responsibilities:

Lead the company's accounting function, ensuring financial activity is recorded accurately and in accordance with applicable standards. Direct the month-end close process, driving timely completion of reconciliations, reviews, and final reporting deliverables. Prepare and oversee financial reports that provide leadership with clear visibility into performance, risks, and operational results. Manage audit readiness by organizing documentation, coordinating with external auditors, and addressing findings effectively. Establish and strengthen internal controls, policies, and financial procedures to support compliance and operational efficiency. Oversee accounting practices related to construction activity, including cost tracking, project-based financial analysis, and reporting accuracy. Partner with senior leaders to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning initiatives. Mentor and develop accounting staff, setting expectations and promoting a high standard of accuracy and accountability. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required. Significant leadership experience in accounting or finance, including oversight of close and reporting functions. Strong background in preparing financial statements and supporting external audit processes. Demonstrated knowledge of month-end close procedures, reconciliations, and internal control frameworks. Experience with construction accounting and project-focused financial management. Proven ability to interpret financial data and communicate recommendations to executive stakeholders. High level of accuracy, sound judgment, and commitment to regulatory and reporting compliance.
