Controller

We are seeking an experienced Controller. This is a management level position responsible for all aspects of accounting. Oversee AP/AR, job cost accounting, inventory and general ledger. Team player with demonstrated interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and maintain internal accounting controls. Ensure adherence to GAAP, tax laws, and internal policies. Coordinate audits. Manage WorkInProgress and job cost reporting as well as General Ledger Subject matter expert and admin for accounting ERP. Administer corporate expense reporting and credit cards. Work with Senior Management and Operations Managers to ensure financial directives are followed Recommendations for process improvements Coordinate quarterly accounting reviews, annual audits and tax returns Maintain corporate registrations with all states Ensure AP/AR processes are completed as required and internal controls for those processes are enforced. Oversee and manage accounting staff Provide financial information for all licensing, bid qualification and external requests for information. Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring information only provided on an as required basis. Understanding of department of labor regulations and industry insurance requirements Ensure payroll processes completed as required as well as related tax filings Responsible for personnel management of direct reports to include performance reviews, performance counseling, talent development, etc. Education and/or

Experience:

Ability to give direction, adapt to change, establish relationships, and work in a team environment Experience dealing with banks and financial institutions Strong knowledge of accounting systems and internal controls Strong decision making and multitasking ability Minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance 10+ years' experience in management position; construction experience preferred.
