This role combines strategic responsibility with hands-on execution. The ideal candidate enjoys leading significant projects, improving processes, and is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves to handle day-to-day accounting and administrative responsibilities when needed. Success requires a willingness to own both high-level initiatives and operational details. Key Responsibilities Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process. Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements Manage the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of all accounting records. Supervise and develop accounting staff. Lead cross-functional projects involving accounting systems, process improvements, internal controls, and operational efficiencies. Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve reporting. Partner with operations to improve inventory accuracy, manufacturing costing, and financial visibility. Coordinate annual audits and support tax compliance efforts. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Support cash management and banking activities. Provide support for payroll processing, employee benefits administration, and other finance and HR-related functions as business needs require. Maintain a hands-on approach by assisting with reconciliations, journal entries, account analysis, and other detailed accounting tasks when necessary. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: Thrive in an environment where priorities change and new challenges arise. Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. CPA designation strongly preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Manufacturing experience strongly preferred. Experience with inventory and cost accounting. Previous supervisory experience. Strong Excel skills. ERP experience required. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. High level of integrity and attention to detail.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
