Job Description
Assistant Controller Join DominionX/RoyalX, as a Full-Time Assistant Controller and lead the Finance team, based in our Mt. Juliet, TN office. The Assistant Controller plays a critical role in managing the financial health of the organization. This position oversees the financial activities of the organization, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial information. Primary responsibilities include preparing financial reports, managing budgets, enforcing internal controls, and leading a team of accounting professionals. Strong collaboration with senior management is essential. Responsible for annual audits and driving process improvements to enhance financial operations. Use of strong financial acumen and leadership skills play vital roles in guiding the organization's financial strategy and decision-making. Create supportive environment to develop a high-performing accounting team, providing training opportunities and mentoring relationships. Maintain daily/weekly/monthly cash balances and forecast. Finalize the monthly WIP schedule and investigate any discrepancies. Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the quality of financial reporting. Assist with fixed asset accounting functions and manage depreciation schedules, as necessary. Collaborate with other teams for reporting any financial information. Manage year-end audits and tax requirements. Prepare annual 1099s. Participate in Special Projects and prepare Ad-Hoc reports as required for Senior Leadership. Other duties, as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 5-7 or more years of relevant Accounting experience. Experience in the Construction Industry is required. 2 or more years of Leading Accounting Team. Acumatica knowledge / experience preferred. Consolidation knowledge preferred.
