This is a full-time position that is eligible for benefits that include medical, dental, vision, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, STD, LTD, life, 401K with a company match, vacation and PTO. Must possess an Accounting degree. Job duties include, but are not limited to Execute month-end processing for financial statement preparation Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts Reconcile all bank accounts Prepare daily deposits and banking research Journal entry preparation Review financial statements and research GL accounts before CFO review Maintain fixed assets spreadsheet monthly and record additions/ disposals Debit card holder / Credit card expense reports, and receipts Categorize reported expenses for journal entries Ensure all transactions are recorded and investigate abnormal / potential fraudulent charges Periodic reporting Sales Tax reporting/payment Workers Comp reporting/ payment / accrual Assist CFO in Budget/forecasting preparation Improvement in Internal Controls Mentor, coach, assist and motivate staff Improve accounting efficiency / better procedures Documentation of improved Internal Controls Ensure STM Contracting/ Concrete books are accurate and up to date Assist in accounting for new location in Hayden Alabama Other Special Projects Reviewing and recommending process flows and improvements to ensure accurate, reliable, and timely financial reporting
