About Us:
We are a dynamic and growing multi-unit restaurant business dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to join our team and oversee the financial operations of our organization.
Position Overview:
The Controller will oversee all financial operations for our multi-unit restaurant business, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance in financial reporting. This role is responsible for managing all accounting functions, providing strategic financial insights to support business decisions, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and landlords. Additionally, the Controller will coordinate year-end tax preparation and filings.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all aspects of accounting, including accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, budgets, and forecasts for multiple restaurant units. Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable recommendations to leadership. Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and other financial reporting standards. Maintain and optimize accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with unit managers to support financial planning and operational performance. Monitor cash flow, control costs, and oversee financial audits as needed. Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on financial data to support executive decision-making. Lead and mentor the finance and accounting teams, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred). Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in a multi-unit or restaurant environment. Proven track record of managing financial operations for multi-unit businesses. Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting software. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights. Excellent organizational and communication skills with attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Pay:
$110,000.00 per year
