Overview Armstrong Properties is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Assistant to the Director of Finance to support the accounting and financial operations of our locally owned businesses and related entities. This is a part-time, in-office position in Caldwell, Texas, working directly with the Director of Finance, with an expected schedule of approximately 20-25 hours per week. The ideal candidate has hands-on bookkeeping experience, is highly organized, and is comfortable working across multiple companies and sets of books. Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online is required. Responsibilities Support the Director of Finance with day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions across multiple entities Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks Online Enter, review, and properly categorize transactions Manage accounts payable and assist with accounts receivable Process and track invoices, bills, and payments Perform bank and credit card reconciliations Assist with intercompany transactions and proper allocation of expenses between entities Assist with monthly account reconciliations and financial close Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation Assist with expense tracking and reporting Help prepare financial reports and supporting schedules Communicate with vendors and internal team members regarding accounting matters Identify discrepancies and help ensure financial information is complete and accurate Assist the Director of Finance with special projects and administrative tasks as needed Skills Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required Previous bookkeeping, accounting, or financial administrative experience Experience working with multiple companies or sets of books is a plus Strong understanding of basic accounting and bookkeeping principles Proficiency with spreadsheets and financial data Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to prioritize responsibilities across multiple entities Ability to work independently and follow established processes Strong written and verbal communication skills High level of discretion when handling confidential financial and business information This is a great fit for an experienced bookkeeper looking for a consistent, part-time role in a professional, in-office environment — someone who enjoys working with numbers, takes pride in getting the details right, and likes being part of a locally owned group of businesses.
