We work with family-owned dairies, farms and food artisans to create unique, clean ice creams that not only taste good, but do good. It's this passion and commitment that's lead us to be named the "Best Ice Cream in Texas" by Food and Wine. Lick Honest Ice Creams is a fast-growing, multi-location brand known for crafting small-batch ice creams from real, locally sourced ingredients. As we scale, we're looking for a Financial Controller who can bring structure, clarity, and discipline to our financial operations while supporting confident, informed decision-making at the leadership level. What You'll Own Full financial visibility across the business—cash flow, liabilities, and operational performance Daily and weekly cash management, including prioritization of payments and obligations Debt tracking and repayment strategy, built and managed proactively Accurate and timely monthly and year-to-date Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets Oversight of taxes, insurance, leases, and compliance requirements Financial systems, reporting cadence, and process improvements What You'll Actually Do Turn fragmented financial data into clear, actionable priorities Partner with the CEO and operations leaders to guide decisions with real-time insights Build and maintain a structured approach to managing debt and financial commitments Identify risks early and bring solutions—not just problems Establish discipline in how money moves through the business Who You Are Highly self-managed—you take ownership without needing oversight Detail-obsessed but able to clearly communicate the big picture Fast-moving without sacrificing accuracy Systems-minded—you build processes that last, not quick fixes Comfortable speaking with executives and translating financial complexity into clarity Motivated by bringing stability and structure to a growing company Qualifications 5+ years of experience in financial management, accounting, or controller-level roles Strong understanding of cash flow management, debt structuring, and financial reporting Experience in multi-unit, retail, hospitality, or food & beverage businesses preferred Proficiency with accounting systems and financial modeling tools CPA or equivalent experience is a plus Why Lick Be a key leader in a mission-driven, high-growth brand Direct impact on the financial health and scalability of the company Work closely with founders and executive leadership Opportunity to build systems and strategy from the ground up Competitive salary + performance-based incentives
